party time

We are having gorgeous weather right now, and with St. Patty's Day this weekend and everyone in such a festive mood I started thinking about parties! Check out these adorable buckets and vases over at Macbeth Collection (thanks Mia for the find). Great idea for storage, bottles of wine, or party supplies, or you can fill them with flowers and use them as a centerpiece. These lunch boxes are pretty cute too.

pretty coasters

Aren't these so pretty, little letterpress coasters from Sesame Letterpress. Almost too pretty to put anything on and might look even better custom framed for an entry hall. But they are waterproof so they can be used for drinks of course. They come in a set of 8 for $10. Check out the other great products at BuyOlympia.

dork.

I like everything about these smart-aleck cards and notepad from Just Jenn Designs. For anyone in need of "having a laugh" I recommend sending them one of these cards :-)

blog post 101!

Wow, I've made officially over 100 posts on this blog, yeah for me!
In honor of the 101st post I'll share one of my fave cheap-o shopping secrets, which is Delia's! I have been buying clothes and accessories from Delia's since I was 24, probably time to outgrow this phase but with everything under $100 and usually under $50 I can't give it up. Here are a couple cute new tops and dresses I saw today.

imooi

Imooi is an innovative label from NYC, creating unique and colorful accessories. They have affordable and funky sterling silver jewelry with rubber inserts and they do handbags as well. I really like these simple jewely designs with the punch of color. You can purchase their work through their Amazon store.

for girls who heart style

MaryMo Handmade aka "accessories for girls who heart style" has some adorable bags and hair accessories. I love her fabric combo's and great purse styles from the sweet Holly Golightly tote to the more sophisticated Laila Bag (bottom left). Get them before they sell out as they are each one-of-a-kind.

hey nature girl

It's hard to resist Nature Girl skin and body care with names like Nature Groupie, Organic Hipster and my favorite, Groovy Locks. The packaging is pretty fantastic also. Not inexpensive, ($35 for 8.5 oz Shampoo), but for ingredients this fresh, they're worth it!

rock, scissor, paper

Adorable one of a kind handmade cards with vintage fabric over at Rock, Scissor, Paper. $4.75 each, so worth it and would be quite cute framed.

Spring Skirts

Very cute Spring skirts from Skirt Spot (they used to be Boutique Ooh La La). The skirts are mostly a-line which looks great on most gals and they range in price from $64-$92.
It is 70 degrees here is SF today and I wore all black today and sweat my back off while at lunch. I am so glad it is skirt season again, I am so over my Winter wardrobe!

ellen kahn

These lovely watercolors by artist Ellen Kahn are on my covet list. These images are from her Botanicals series. You can purchase from her directly and I think they are about $450 framed.

eyestorm

Eyestorm is a gallery in London and a really cool online contemporary art gallery where you can find cutting edge artists from the UK. I have been a follower of their website since my art consulting days and they've had some ups and downs. Apparently they have new ownership now and they're kicking ass. Lucie Bennett is one of those cutting edge artists and I love her alluring images of women as vixens, pin-ups and nymphs. Most of her work is sold out but these prints are still available. Sign up for their newsletter and get 10% off!

Copenhagen plaque

Royal Copenhagen dish

70s mugs

Classic Modern is a UK based shop selling retro textiles, rugs, lighting and ceramics from the 50s, 60s and 70s. Most of the items are from Danish and Scandinavian mid-century modern designers. I noticed alot of Royal Copenhagen from Denmark and cool Swedish textiles. Each item is one of a kind so check often since they sell out quick.

Speaking of vintage shopping, another fave is Enoki World. You can find vintage clothes and accessories from Pierre Cardin, Oscar de la Renta, Halston, Hermes and Bottega Veneta to name a few. Definitely not cheap but if you look hard there is always a deal or two.

ona

Ona is a Lithuanian website with an amazing line of products by artists and designers from, you guessed it, Lithuania. I really like these laser cut tables and lamps. This is a good site to shop around for a unique gift for someone.
